Rare sideboard by Italian designer Aldo Tura, elegant convex shape on a wood frame.The sideboard is covered with goatskin, dyed red and acrylic-lacquered to a fine clear gloss, with the naturally mottled goatskin adding complexity to the luminous finish.
The four doors blend harmoniously with the curve of the sideboard and open to reveal shaped glass shelves within.
Tura markings concealed inside behind the doors.
Aldo Tura (1909-1963) specialised in lacquered goatskin finishes to his pieces. The Tura workshop in Brianza continues to produce exclusive pieces in the tradition of their founder. This piece has an attribution mark,
