Although there is not a signature on this watercolor, the following information was provided to me when I purchased the … Read more Although there is not a signature on this watercolor, the following information was provided to me when I purchased the artwork. Mr. Richard Price, of San Diego, painted this "Beach Life" picture (there are two other watercolors also which I may list later), for the City of San Diego, California. Mr. Price's niece said that Richard was a known artist in the Southern California area in the 1950s and 1960s. This watercolor (along with the other two not listed) were on display in the Municipal Building in San Diego portraying different lifestyles in the San Diego area.

I have attempted to find additional information on Mr. Price without avail.

This would be a terrific painting for a beach restaurant, or a beach house. The lovely blonde girl is the essence of the "California Girl" the Beach Boys sang about in the 1960s.

The framed size is 37.5" tall, 32" wide and 2" deep. The frame has a few nicks but nothing distracting from the watercolor. See less
