The carving features fluid volumes and defined interior hollows, with a polished finish that enhances the natural grain of the wood and underscores its sculptural character.

The lamp has been updated with a new cylindrical linen shade, made specifically for this piece. Likewise, all the electrical wiring is new, with E27 sockets and braided cable covered in fabric, allowing for safe modern use without altering the original base.

American made, probably California. A representative piece of mid-20th-century American modernism, situated between a functional object and a decorative sculpture.

Condition

Very good overall vintage condition.
