It's carved out of a dense piece of wood that has nice weight and has acquired a lovely patina from age.
The carving is done with a gorgeous stylized approach depicting a skinny elder Japanese man wearing a straw hat.
It is in very good condition and measures 12 inches tall by 8 inches wide.
