A wonderful example of mid century California modernism designed by John Keal for Brown Saltman. Upholstered in a beige linen blend with a continuous seat cushion, two loose back cushions, and loose arm cushions at each end, set on recessed ebony wood slat feet for a comfortable, low-profile silhouette. Keal was an early figure in California modernism, informed by the Bauhaus and International Style.

Sofa has newer foam and per label is cotton wrapped in 25% goose down and 75% goose feather, in excellent condition. Upholstery has no holes, tears, rips or areas of excessive wear. Underneath the cushions there is a minor tonal color variation from the front facing upholstery, likely caused by sun. The last four photos show the slightly darker tone of the underneath side of the upholstery. This tonal variation or fading can be seen when the cushions are removed or turned upside down. See the last two photos of the left arm cushions visible from two vantages: front facing / lighter side and underneath / darker side. The overall color of the sofa is a uniform beige "heathered" linen. less
