A finely matched pair of Chinese jadeite elephant carvings, mid-20th century, rendered in softly mottled celadon-green stone with natural variations and inclusions. Each elephant is shown with raised head and curled trunk, symbolizing strength, wisdom, and good fortune. The bodies are adorned with carved saddle blankets featuring a central shou medallion (longevity symbol) within a geometric border and a yin-yang symbol on the saddle top.

The elephants are mounted on custom carved, pierced hardwood stands, shaped to follow the contours of each figure and elevating them as sculptural objects. The carving is crisp and decorative, with well-defined details throughout, and the pair presents with strong visual symmetry.
