This mid-century teak sideboard b40 was designed in the early 1950s by dieter waeckerlin and manufactured by behr in germany. The design reflects the rational, functional modernism for which waeckerlin is known: sleek, balanced, and thought out in detail. A piece of furniture that is not focused on decoration, but on tranquility, use, and durability. The sideboard is crafted from warm teak with a refined, even grain pattern that elegantly continues across the four doors. The handle-free fronts create a calm, closed look, while the slender metal legs lift the furniture and give it a sense of lightness. Behind the doors, an exceptionally clever and modular interior layout unfolds. On both sides, there are wooden drawers and removable trays, designed to be flexible and easily adaptable to use. The light wood on the inside contrasts beautifully with the teak and emphasizes the functional character of the design. The furniture is in very good condition, with only a few slight signs of wear consistent with its age. The wood has been carefully inspected and refreshed, preserving its original character and natural patina. A unique sideboard for lovers of intelligent design: understated, practical, and aesthetically strong, with a timeless look that effortlessly stands out in both modern and classic interiors.
