The royal shelving system includes 19 piedes and is a vintage gem and a design classic of mid-century modernism.
* designed by poul cadovius (1958) in denmark *
+ the royal shelving unit impresses with its timelessly modern design. The glass shelf unit and the drawer unit (with four spacious drawers) are highlights of the unit, as are the large magazine/book shelf and the two generously sized cabinet units with practical sliding doors – all of which lend this cadovius shelving unit its modernity and exclusivity.
+ eleven shelves offer additional, visually appealing, and ample storage options for books and more…
+ the units and shelves of this cadovius unit are of high-class quality and predominantly made of solid teak; the panel backs are teak veneered.
+ the royal system also impresses with its versatility, as it is modular, allowing each element to be flexibly positioned as desired and supplemented with other elements from the royal cado system.
\.] * scope of the shelving unit: the offer includes: 4x cabinets + 11x shelves + 1x magazine rack + 3x panel walls + a total of 24x matching shelf brackets *
dimensions
total width of panels (3x): 240 cm (width of 1x panel wall: 80 cm) * height 260 cm *
+ large / deeper cabinets (3x): width 80 cm * depth 46 cm * height 51.5 cm (1x cabinet with drawers + 2x cabinets with sliding doors)
+ glass cabinet (1x): width 80 cm * height 56 cm * depth 22 cm
+ large magazine/book shelf: width 80 cm * depth 36 cm
+ shelf boards (11x): width 80 cm * deep 22 cm * thickness 2 cm
+ 3x back panels: width 80 cm + height 244 cm
marking
+ a label is still present on the back of one panel, and some of the shelf boards bear the cado brand imprint "made in denmark."
condition
the item is in well-maintained and very good vintage condition with superficial signs of wear consistent with age on the teak surface.
+ these are isolated minor to medium surface scratches, small dents/nicks, minor imperfections in the real wood veneer (mostly angular), and color variations in the teak wood due to light and use, especially—as is often the case—on the panels (18th photo above). However, this flaw is less visible and noticeable with everyday use once the cabinets and shelves are installed. As long-time dealers, we consider the overall condition to be above average.
\.all these marks are usually only slightly more visible upon close inspection and are not significant. This piece has an attribution mark,
