The hand-carved frame showcases fluted legs, scrolling arms, and a delicately ornamented crest rail, all finished in a warm gilt that highlights the depth and craftsmanship of the carving. The frame retains its original decorative gilt finish and bears a De Mark tag indicating a 22-karat gold leaf application.

The settee is believed to be of Italian origin, produced in the Louis XVI tradition during the late 20th century.
