Age: Antique, C. 1890's or so

Pile: Low/Med pile with fantastic age-related wear and patina. Exceptional Character-rich Aesthetic. Lots of wear, distress, patina, etc. Loose ends and all that jazz. It's old, very old. Some subtle discoloration but nothing crazy. I've kept it in it's untouched condition because some people prefer it like this. If you want us to restore the edges etc, we can - just let us know and I'll get you a quote. If you decide to hang this or put in a lower traffic areas, I would recommend just have us secure and tidy the rug up so it'll prevent from unraveling while not messing with the ancient old aesthetics that we all love!

About: There is so much I could point out - but I have to keep it brief so you don't fall asleep because I could Ramble about this one!! My FAVORITE things are: the asymmetrical nature of the design, it is truly spontaneous weaving at its FINEST. I also am so in love with how the iconic Fence design on the inside of the main field that surrounds the inner part of the rug is super fine and small on the top and bottom, but exaggerated and bold on the left and right sides going up - this is probably my favorite things about this piece! That intersection right there is impromptu, "figure it out as we go" weaving right there - to me, that is true art! The dyes are perfection, the designs and random ram horns and village life they wove throughout is just divine. Truly my top 10 favorite pieces in the inventory, it's a stunner - oh, and this size is just insane!
