Up for sale is a nice quality antique 19th century lidded German armorial beer stein.
The pewter lid has a wonderful con-vexed porcelain insert that is painted by hand with a wonderful armorial scene.
It is also painted and dated underneath the lid and features an elaborate open winged eagle pewter thumb piece.
The hinged lid is mounted to a thick clear glass mug and in nice used condition.
It measures 6 3/4 inches tall by 5 inches wide.
