About: The Circle of Life is a concept that is primal - so, no surprise that it's woven inside of Nomadic rug weaving textiles and rugs. This piece isn't only symbolic, it's stunning. The dyes, the gorgeous border, and the attention to detail is next level. Wool pile and wool foundation is a staple for this village, and so is the luxurious body and floppy handle as is in this piece. This design is technically a bed of seeds, theoretically a field of opportunity and growth, and literally a work of art depicting the thoughts and values of this weaver. Dating back to the Zoroastrian times, this motif was the Flame that representing life - so, is the weaver weaving a double-meaning by having this Boteh motif look a tad more flame-like than a normal paisley design? Perhaps, but we'll never know. One thing we do see when you look closely is a very cool detail in this specific piece is that she has woven in guard dogs throughout to protect her children, seeds, botehs, or Zoroastrian flames - however you dice it, this piece is a next level tribal storybook with power and beauty at the forefront.
