Pile: Low with gorgeous character-rich patina; minor ancient old touch-ups here and there which is to be expected, some subtle color transfer, some hiccups here and there but what do you expect with this early of a piece! This family of rug some times cracks due to the foundation being a little brittle, it sounds worse than it is for the most part and once it's down it should be fine. This piece is ollllld! Priced accordingly with all the stuff going on with this one.
