Pile: Low with age related patina and wear. One small hole at the bottom of the rug, could be repaired if you wanted but or just enjoy as is. Some discoloration but nothing crazy, this piece is OLD so if you want perfection - this ins't your collectable rug; but if you want story, soul, age, and everything that might come along with that - look no further, this is for you.
