About: Never in our lives have we ever seen anything like this piece. Leshgi Star and Shirvan design not only in a REMARKABLE color palette but in such a rare size! We don't see this old of a piece, in this design, with these colors, ever! Very old and really beautiful given its soft lavenders and earthy plums, amazing saffron and rich sunflower yellows, beautiful reds, beige, and many shades of blues. Dusty tangerine makes an appearance and even a subtle earthy pistachio-like green-yellow. The rug is simply unique and in a class of its own. This ancient design takes us WAY back to the Caucas mountains where they never really wove room-sized pieces because many of the rugs they wove were for themselves and they didn't have space! They were minimal and nomadic travels so large rugs didn't make sense for them - hence to have on like this is just lucky. This piece is filled with character and charm given the many ancient repairs, wonderful patina, and even a border that lost it's way at one point and no longer on the rug - so many stories this piece could share with us and will last another lifetime to create more stories for you and your family. This piece will add INSTANT character to a home seeing how it's already 100+ years old. All-natural wool pile with organic wool foundation peaking to its nomadic nature - you will LOVE this piece.
