An exceptional early-18th-century English Queen Anne highboy in beautifully figured burl walnut, raised on a classic chest-on-stand base with graceful cabriole legs and pad feet. This refined form and richly book-matched veneers exemplify the elegance and craftsmanship of the Queen Anne period.
The upper case features two short drawers over three graduated long drawers, all fitted with period-appropriate pierced brass batwing backplates and drop pulls. The lower stand includes three additional drawers and a shaped apron with an arched center, creating both visual balance and practical storage. The warm patina of the walnut has mellowed beautifully over nearly three centuries, revealing deep depth and movement in the grain.
