A mirror is not only showing a reflection of it’s surrounding, it copies of what we intend to see as reality. Martens & visser’s mirror is instead creating a new image, which is added to the reality. Slices of mirror echo it’s surrounding, creating a distorted reflection of what we would suspect. The echo mirror is crafted from 0.8 mm polished aluminum, precisely milled to shape. Each piece is meticulously handled with extreme care, ensuring a flawless finish that enhances the purity of the material. A minimalistic wall mount, designed for effortless installation with two screws, complements the mirror’s refined aesthetic. The mount comes in white, subtly blending with its surroundings while allowing the mirror to take center stage. Sustainability plays a vital role in martens & visser’s work. The studio works with materials by applying them in a pure way, without unnecessary additions. This approach gives seemingly simple materials a new, timeless value.
