The lamp was made in france in the 1950s or thereabouts.

much of the original paint remains, but has worn gracefully over the years, with a few areas of historic rust – now encapsulated in layer of museum-grade microcrystalline wax.

the lamp has been dismantled, cleaned, and brought up to modern safety standards with a new british-made switched patinated brass b22 lamp holder and a generous length of premium italian double-insulated 3-core cable with a mottled grey woven linen braid. Supplied with a 3-pin uk plug.
