This wall lamp is an original design by Danish designer Claus Bolby (Cebo Industry) and a prime example of his experimental lighting design from the 1960s and 70s. Bolby was known for his innovative use of plastics, which is clearly reflected in this piece. The housing consists of Bolby's signature red acrylic strips. These were layered and fused together using a special process. This technique creates irregular structures and inclusions in the material, giving the lamp a unique optical depth. As soon as the light is switched on, the red acrylic glows intensely. The fused layers create a warm, diffused light distribution and a captivating interplay of light and shadow on the wall.
