The oval tabletop is made of solid pine and displays a vibrant, warm grain with typical knots, emphasizing the natural character of the wood. The surface is left natural or lightly oiled or lacquered, thus preserving the authentic wood tone. The table can be flexibly extended using two matching extension leaves, accommodating various uses, from a compact everyday size to a generous dining room length. The tabletop is supported by two sturdy, column-like legs made of solid pine with wide bases, providing excellent stability. The original extension mechanism and rails bear the manufacturer's label dyrland – made in denmark, indicating high-quality scandinavian serial production, typical of danish solid wood furniture design of that era.
