On the Design:

This rug enjoys an ornate play of medallion and all-over patterns in florals and grand portrait-like frames in its border. Its colorway favors a rich chocolate brown background, with beige and burgundy notes in the many patterns above. Keen eyes will further note the fine detail and scale for its large size, and admire the sense of depth and movement it achieves. The look is so tasteful, both regal and elegant yet forgiving and comfortable in its colors—exemplary of transitional Aubussons and similar French rugs like those that inspired this flatweave.
