A synograph on panel reductive print of the painting "Scratch" by Kali Sanders, produced by General Public in 2020. Blonde wood frame.
Based in Portland, Kali Sanders explores the concepts of cliché, failure and fame in her paintings. Grinding oil or acrylic paint into the canvas and then removing it, Sanders’ unique process yields a textural, moody tableau. A graduate of the prestigious ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, her work is included many private collections.
The reductive prints give the illusion of texture while maintaining the integrity of the original work of art. In other words – they are the flat version of an original. The key to our reductive print starts with the scan. The scanner captures all of the detail from the original. Every mark, brushstroke, fine line, smudge and incidental as well as the peaks and valleys of the piece are captured and reproduced to simulate the depth of the original when printed
