SPPM Krotoszyn – one of the most respected manufacturers of modernist furniture in the Polish People's Republic.

The piece has been preserved in its original form, with characteristic narrow, polished glass sides, a veneered frame, and turned legs typical of 1960s design.

This is a classic example of Polish utility design from the turn of the 1950s and 1960s, inspired by Scandinavian modernism:

Good condition, solid construction, solid glass. Natural signs of wear consistent with age – without affecting functionality.

A unique example of Polish modernism – increasingly difficult to find. To reassemble, simply start by inserting each strip of glass from the top milling cutter, as the top milling cutter is deep, and then insert the bottom section of the glass into the bottom milling cutter.

The entire piece has been cleaned of dust, dirt, and a thin top layer of old varnish, and resealed with a hard, eco-friendly wood oil. Ready for reuse. See less
