Model dk 7870, semicircular, with curved solid wood legs … Read more Danish table, designed by thygesen and sorensen for magnus olesen, 1970s. Model dk 7870, semicircular, with curved solid wood legs made of molded beech plywood and a blue linoleum top. Production label present. Good condition, with some signs of wear: scratches and scuffs. Minor unevenness in the linoleum.

the shade of blue in the linoleum is very elegant: it is understated because it is muted, yet still adds a touch of style to the interior. At the same time, the warm tone of the beech really brings out the best in the linoleum. (unlike the version with black linoleum, this one is less high-contrast, so the colors harmonize with each other in a subtle way .)

also nice: the table shapes in this series can be arranged in various modular configurations. two semicircular tables, for example, form a circle. The long sides of the rectangular tables can be complemented by a semicircular one, etc. And the rectangular tables can, of course, be joined together to form larger tables. This allows for many variations depending on function and intended use.
