It was named for Stickley 's Eastwood factory near Syracuse New York. It is reported Gustav Stickley had one in his house in Syracuse and another one at his summer home in Parsippany New Jersey. Like the original, this reissue is made of solid quartersawn white oak, with pinned through tenons. The solid quadralinear post, a distinctive feature of all reissued Mission Oak pieces is an enhancement over the turn of the century example which featured veneers, so the rayflake could be seen on all four sides of the post. This exquisite set is stained in the classic, 32-Onondaga. A warm reddish brown.ch sable on the seat back, seat bottom and foot stool cover. In great condition overall. The seat bottom does show signs of use. There is a small scuff mark on the outside back of the chair as shown in the photo. This set has been in a casita and had little use over the last 2 decades.
