A beautiful and highly collectible set of six silver-plated goblets designed and handcrafted in Taxco, Mexico by renowned artist Emilia Castillo, celebrated for her sculptural metalwork, whimsical motifs, and continuation of the Castillo family’s legendary silversmithing tradition.
This charming suite includes five matching goblets featuring Castillo’s signature butterfly motif, each inlaid with a vibrant mosaic of semiprecious stones—including turquoise, jasper, malachite, and onyx—and one coordinating goblet featuring a floral stone-inlaid design in lapis lazuli and jasper. Though distinct in motif, all six pieces share identical proportions, hammered texture, and spiral stems, allowing them to blend seamlessly as a unified set.
Crafted in solid brass, then silver plated, the goblets display a richly hammered finish that reflects light beautifully. Each piece is signed with the full Emilia Castillo hallmark:
“Emilia Castillo – Mexico M.R. – TO-85 – Plateado.”
One goblet shows a visible scratch, photographed for accuracy, consistent with age and handmade construction.
