A striking pair of handcrafted serving utensils designed and manufactured in Taxco, Mexico by celebrated silversmith Emilia Castillo. This sculptural set features fish-shaped handles—a signature motif in Castillo’s work—each fish detailed with hand-tooled scales, flowing contours, and inlaid blue cabochon eyes, creating a wonderfully tactile and artistic presentation.
The bowls are executed in a hammered silver-plated finish, giving the surfaces a beautiful organic texture that contrasts elegantly with the smooth, sculpted handles. Both pieces retain the full Emilia Castillo hallmark, reading:
“Emilia Castillo, Mexico M.R. TO-85, Plateado.”
A distinctive example of the Taxco silversmithing tradition and perfect for collectors of Mexican decorative arts, organic modern tableware, or anyone looking to add a refined, whimsical statement piece to their dining presentation.
