made of solid elm wood, heavy, sturdy, and beautifully crafted.
the sides and center feature carved decorations typical of chinese art. The drawer fronts are also hand-carved and decorated.
the finish is natural, and the aged look, due to age, gives the sideboard a beautiful, lived-in look.
the drawers feature two contemporary brass handles, while two handles, lost in the past, have been replaced with iron rods. The doors also feature very large handles composed of decorated plates with latch locks, all in solid brass. Both the drawer and door handles have a charming antique patina, which we've left intact without polishing.
internally, a central shelf divides the space into two compartments.
the cabinet has been cleaned and protected with a clear varnish to preserve its original appearance.
