At just over six-feet long the scale is perfect to host intimate gatherings of family & friends or everyday meals. The top surface of honed white marble has a smooth texture that is inviting to the touch, animated by thin ribbons of gray veining and finished to rounded corners. Patina is light with spots or streaks of tan discoloration after decades of use. Two pairs of square, muscular legs support the scale of the table joined by stretchers across the length and width all stained an attractive shade of chestnut. Distance between the legs is approximately 66" to fit three chairs per side comfortably (or a single bench) with the possibility of a chair on each end. The proportions and quality craftsmanship of the table could easily adapt to a multitude of uses around the home, even to a retail or business environment as a display fixture. As well, the table could be lifted on casters to use as a kitchen island or work table.
