The scene depicts a flowering orchard in early spring, with expressive brushwork, soft atmospheric color, and a quiet rural figure with a dog in the mid-ground. Very much in the late 19th–early 20th century European pastoral tradition.

The painting is oil on canvas and is housed in a substantial, ornate gilt frame. A provenance note on the reverse indicates it was acquired from an official Hungarian collection in the early 1970s and restored and framed in Atlanta in 1973.

The surface shows age-appropriate wear consistent with an antique oil painting of this period, adding to its character and authenticity. The frame is original to the later restoration and presents well.
