She was so inspired by the … Read more The Maine artist (Mary Lavendier Myers) attended my 1994 outdoor wedding in Freeport, Maine. She was so inspired by the setting and ceremony on such a perfect August afternoon that she made a painting of my husband and I taking our vows under a hand-painted wedding canopy--called a "chuppah" in the Jewish tradition. Mary maintains a studio on Peaks Island Maine, a short ferry trip from downtown Portland. This one-of-a-kind painting has very vibrant colors. The original wedding canopy has been in storage for over 32 years! See less
