Expertly restored rosewood executive desk by Poul Nørreklit for Sigurd Hansen, made in Denmark in the 1960s.
Hidden hardware connects the large rosewood desktop to a three-part lucite base, causing it to appear as if it floats above the ground. Drawer modules with polished chrome pulls hover beneath the top, suspended by a similar magic.
Dramatic grain patterns plus a dramatic form factor make it a true statement piece that defines the room around it.
The prior owner fashioned a set of 1.5 inch acrylic blocks to raise the height and knee clearance of the desk. These will be provided with the purchase. The center two drawers have locks. Original keys included.
This piece is unmarked. From what we have seen, there are no marked versions of this desk. The attribution reflects industry consensus.
