A magnificent and rare example of work by American artist Susan Etcoff Faerman. A one of a kind work to bring awareness to breast cancer. It is among other conceptual pieces prompted by her sister’s breast cancer diagnosis, reflecting on femininity, body, and survival through tactile and narrative-driven art.
Constructed of a webbed fiber base decorated in intricately detailed bricolage featuring beads of various color and size, miniature dice, and a handwritten note. The note reads "Diligence is the mother of good luck".
Technique: off-loom bead weaving
The sculpture sits on a custom steel base.
