This porcelain service was designed and created by the newly formed Richard Ginori for the 1911 Turin World's Fair. The exhibition, organized to mark the fiftieth anniversary of Italian unification, was held in the Savoy capital to commemorate the occasion. Industries and artisans from around the world participated. Richard Ginori, building on its fame for the white porcelain produced in its historic Doccia factory, presented this service in designs that hinted at the future Art Deco style. The decorations were created using the new decalcomania technique and depicted views of palaces, monuments, and city views. The hand-applied blue trim completed the elegant service. The vintage condition is very good, with some light signs of use and age. This piece has an attribution mark,
