an early, mass-produced piece made of mold-blown, clear translucent crystal; the rim and base are beveled.
original (numbered) stopper in molded and pressed white crystal, decorated with stylized raised motifs in relief, arranged in two tiered friezes.
explicitly art deco period and style.

model created by rené lalique in 1934;

listed in the 1937 price list and discontinued after 1947.
this is therefore an early piece from the first period.

signed on the underside of the base, "r. Lalique france" (see photos).

condition:

- excellent overall condition;

- there are only a few minor signs of use, illustrated in the photo and without any real impact, consisting of:
1/ slight scratches on the underside of the base, not visible—even when held up to the light—when the carafe is standing;

2/ possible traces of use on the body of the carafe, not visible and again without any real impact;

3/ a tiny chip inside the submerged part of the stopper, again without any impact.
