The structure consists of two bowl-shaped bells mounted one above the other and a handle on the side axis, controlling a rotating mechanism that strikes each of the gongs when the lever is swung to the left or right. The metal surface has a deep, cool gray tone with a matte finish, evenly covered with authentic patina. Clear traces of hand forging and slight oxidation emphasize the individual character of the item, and the L-shaped, visible mounting stabilizes the whole. The lack of decorative details does not deprive the bell of its historical refined form - the proportions and curved bracket refer to the gentle lines of Art Nouveau. Preserved in very good condition, without significant damage, with original elements and an even, aged patina. Despite its austere form, this doorbell tells the story of the late 19th century, when utility met with the search for softness and gentleness in even the most everyday objects. Iron, forged by the hand of a craftsman, quietly reminds us of an era when the creaking of a door and the sound of a doorbell were the first accents of a homely welcome. Its matte surface and subtle curve of the arm are reminiscent of French Art Nouveau – a penchant for the hidden elegance of lines that harmoniously permeated everyday objects. This type of bell can be displayed at the entrance to the house – both on historic and contemporary doors, where it will be a timeless accent. It will work well in arrangements inspired by historical interiors with Art Nouveau or eclectic styles, as well as in austere spaces with an industrial accent, where it is worth combining it with black metal, natural wood, or aged ceramics. Surrounded by original wrought iron fittings or matte, classic light fixtures, this doorbell will highlight the craftsmanship of historical craftsmanship. No additional technical data or care instructions are provided. It is recommended to regularly remove dust with a dry, soft cloth and avoid aggressive cleaning agents in order to preserve the authentic patina of the surface. See less
