Castellani," which we believe is attributable to Leonardo … Read more Untitled abstract oil painting on cardboard, signed lower left in watercolor "L. Castellani," which we believe is attributable to Leonardo Castellani. The painting dates to between 1940 and 1960, and the patina on the painting and the back of the cardboard confirm this dating. In the last photos, the painting has been subjected to Wood's lamp. This analysis reveals no retouching or restoration of missing parts, and the signature is contemporary with the painting, perfectly under the patina, and not white or purplish, which is common with later signatures. Therefore, in our opinion, this is a 100% original work. Please review all the photos and make your own assessments.
