Manufactured sometimes within the mid-1980s. See photo for Maker's Mark on the back of the chair. Seat height is 15.5" and seat is 15" wide and 15" deep. Very comfortable for a dining chair or occasional chair. Minor abrasion on back of seat, and minor marks on side arms: see photos. Seat is slightly angled towards the back seat corner, and not 100% level: see photos. This is not noticeable or perceptible at all when sitting in the chair.

Designed by Swiss architect Mario Botta for Alias in the 1980s, the Quinta chair is a striking example of postmodern Italian furniture design. Its' frame is constructed from black lacquered steel with a glossy finish and features sculptural curved armrests in chromed metal. The seat and backrest are made from folded perforated sheet metal, offering both structural integrity and surprising comfort. With its' architectural presence, the chair blurs the line between functional object and collectible design. It was originally made in Italy and no longer in production. See less
