The mark on the handle—"crown" over "W" over a lion passant, plus "STERLING"—is a classic hallmark for the Watson Company.
The Watson Company was based in Attleboro, Massachusetts (often listed as North Attleboro in some records), a major hub for American silver and jewelry manufacturing in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Founded around 1874 (as Cobb, Gould & Co., then evolving through Watson & Newell Co. to Watson Company by ~1911–1915), it operated there until its acquisition by Wallace Silversmiths in 1955.
This specific combination (crown/W/lion) was used roughly from around 1910–1950.
Art Deco/Edwardian Revival, Additional Design Features:
Pierced bowl: The intricate, openwork floral or scroll-like cutouts (with those elegant curved shapes, dots, and symmetrical motifs) are typical of Watson's fancy serving pieces from the era, often in a Victorian Revival or ornate style. It resembles some of their dramatic pierced designs seen in bon bon/nut servers from circa 1920.
Guilloché enamel handle: The sky-blue (or light turquoise) guilloché enamel—machine-turned for that wavy, textured pattern under the translucent enamel—is a luxurious touch. Watson produced several enameled sterling items, including spoons with colored guilloché in blue, white, green, yellow, etc. The handle's capped finial (domed top with gold/metal accents) adds to the elegance.
Size and weight: At slightly under 4 3/8" long and 22.68 grams, it's a standard petite size for individual bon bon servers—delicate yet substantial for sterling.
