This sculptural stone mural features one Mioplosus labracoides, two Diplomystus dentatus, two Cockerellites liops (formerly known as Priscacara), and two Knightia eocaena. These fossilized fish represent an extraordinary journey through time, having swum the ancient tropical lakes of modern Wyoming over 50 million years ago. The Green River Formation is renowned for its exceptional preservation, yielding fossils that retain remarkable detail. These fossil fish are forever gorgeously preserved in a textured matrix of natural, sculptural limestone unearthed from our privately owned fossil quarry. This mural measures approximately 2 feet high x 4 feet across. It is fully backed with wood and it includes a handmade custom Wenge wood frame which compliments the fossil color beautifully. The mural has a built-in French cleat, which allows for an easy installation. See less
