An elegant flow of Eocene Era fossil fish from the Green River Formation are featured in this sculptural stone mural: a Phareodus testis, two Diplomystus dentatus, four Cockerellites liops, and three Knightia eocaena. These fossil fish are about 50 million years old and are forever preserved in a textured matrix of natural, fossil-bearing limestone. The soft beige and tan tones of this natural limestone provides a perfect contrast for the rich dark brown hues of the fossils. The mural measures approximately 3.1 feet x 6.1 feet. It is fully backed with wood and it includes a handmade custom Wenge wood frame which compliments the fossil color beautifully.
