This irregularly shaped, impressively scaled fossil mural presents a dynamic array of beautifully preserved, 50 million year old fossil fish. The fossils include six Diplomystus dentatus, four Cockerellites liops, and eleven Knightia eocaena. The warm beige color of the natural fossil limestone is a perfect backdrop for the deep, natural color of the fossils. The rich texture creates visual interest throughout the piece. This exquisite example of natural history comes from our private stone quarry located in Southwestern Wyoming, part of the Green River Formation. The mural measures approximately 5 feet x 9 feet.
