Showcasing breathtaking natural specimens from the legendary Green River Formation in Wyoming, each piece crafted by Green River Fossil Company is a masterpiece meticulously prepared to merge the worlds of natural history and refined artistry. This irregularly shaped, impressively scaled fossil mural presents a dynamic array of beautifully preserved, 50 million year old fossil fish. The fossils include six Diplomystus dentatus, four Cockerellites liops, and eleven Knightia eocaena. The warm beige color of the natural fossil limestone is a perfect backdrop for the deep, natural color of the fossils. The rich texture creates visual interest throughout the piece. This exquisite example of natural history comes from our private stone quarry located in Southwestern Wyoming, part of the Green River Formation. The mural measures approximately 5 feet x 9 feet. It is fully backed with wood, and the irregular outline highlights the natural concept of this work of art. The mural has a built-in French cleat, which allows for an easy installation. See less
