Found in the famous 18 stone layer of … Read more This Collector-sized fossil mural was quarried from our Fossil Lake stone layer. Found in the famous 18 stone layer of the Green River Formation of Southwestern Wyoming this layer is known for high-quality fossils. The fossils include a 16-1/2" Mioplosus labracoides a 5" Knightia eocaena and a 5-1/4" Cockerellites liops. The simple composition of three fossils is well balanced on the beige iron-oxide stone matrix. The mural is supplied backed in wood with a handmade Wenge wood frame. We have attached a low-profile aluminum French cleat for easy hanging. This mural is shipped in a custom-made wood crate fully insured against loss or damage.
