Archaistic Brass Chinese Hu Vessel Urn Table Lamp
This vintage Chinese urn is created in the style of a traditional Hu Vessel, an archaic ritual bronze. Such vessels furnished the tombs of China’s elite. The very heavy cast brass body is a beautiful form converted to a table lamp. The lamp is created in relief with imagined foo dogs and Oni Serpent decorations all over. It stands on a wood carved black enamel painted base.
The circa 1980s lamp stands in good working condition with light wear due to age and use. Lamp shade not included.
