Crafted from a rare polychrome Delft vase by Royal Tichelaar Makkum — the Netherlands’ oldest ceramics house, founded in 1572 — the lamp showcases the company’s masterful brushwork and deep cultural heritage.

The vase’s octagonal form and vivid palette of cobalt blue, terracotta red, olive green, and sunlit yellow evoke 17th-century Dutch Chinoiserie, reinterpreted through a mid-20th century lens. Stylized floral bouquets unfold within ornate cartouches, each panel hand-painted and tin-glazed for depth and detail. A custom-cast brass cap echoes the vase’s silhouette, merging traditional form with bespoke design.
