These pendants are a well-documented design in Matégot’s lighting oeuvre and combine an elegant, downturned hemispherical metal shade with the original two-part prismatic glass diffuser by Holophane, known for its controlled, glare-free light distribution. The shade is suspended from a tapered, perforated steel cone and straight stem, all retaining the original white-colored paint, which remains in very good and consistent condition across the set. When illuminated, the perforations create a subtle upward glow while the prismatic glass produces a calm, evenly spread light below. The two pendants are in remarkably good original condition with only very minor traces of age and use, making this an unusually cohesive and well-preserved set, suitable for installation as a row above a table, kitchen island, or architectural space. There are four of these beautiful pieces available. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
