The SP63 “Sandretta” table mirror was designed by Ettore Sottsass for Poltronova in 1966 and stands as a refined example of Italian radical design from the mid-1960s. Compact yet sculptural, the mirror reflects Sottsass’s early exploration of color, geometry, and symbolic form.
The mirror features a solid walnut base paired with a circular structure in red lacquered wood, supporting the mirrored glass. The two elements are connected by brass screws, allowing the mirror to rotate smoothly along its horizontal axis. This functional detail enhances both usability and visual dynamism.
