A beautiful, richly decorated cup, an example of Biedermeier-style glassware. The cup is made of layered crystal glass – transparent and orange. By grinding the colored surface, oval medallions of transparent glass were created, into which paintings of the Virgin Mary with Child and winged cherubs were incorporated. The medallions are surrounded by gilded ornaments with a line motif that emphasize their shape and symmetrical arrangement. The spaces between the medallions are decorated with hand-painted roses. The rim of the cup is gilded.
A rare collector's item, distinguished by its exceptional beauty and precision of workmanship.
