Reclining Nude, Titled "Spring", Oil on Canvas, C. 1990 by Igor Kirillov, (b. 1964) Russian Contemporary Neo-Post Impressionist, Dimensions of canvas 24 x 28 in. + frame.
This is an early work by the artist displaying his training and talent deploying a tight impressionist pallet with Easter Egg coloring (Hence, "Spring"). Stylistically Kirillov nods to other post-impressionists: Emil Bernard, Raoul Dufy and Andre Derain as well as incorporating the sensuality of artists from the Secession Movement like Gustav Klimt and later post-impressionist like Chaim Soutine.
The frame is a water-gilt metal leaf 2+3/4 x 1+5/8 in. surround of quality hardwood.
