Victorian Jacobean Revival (1870-1910) hutch. The hutch has brass panels with beautiful embossed designs on the doors, the bottom drawer, and along the top. There are intricate carvings and accents, including a scalloped edge on the hutch top. The top sits on the base with pegs. There are no screws or other hardware needed for assembly. The hutch top has a working locking mechanism with a key.
There are six lion heads. Four of the heads have brass rings. Two of the lion heads have been damaged and no longer have their rings.

There is a crack in the bottom of the drawer from where the wood has split. There is a similar split on the surface of the hutch bottom. There is also a dark ring that could be removed by sanding and restaining. The hutch top sits on dowels for stability, but there is some movement in the hutch top. Two of the mitred corners don't line up. less
